The 3 types of accommodation - (hotel, resort and villa)

1. HOTEL

A hotel is an establishment that provides lodging, usually on a short-term basis. Hotels typically offer a range of services and amenities to accommodate travelers, including rooms or suites for overnight stays, restaurants, bars, gyms, swimming pools, conference and event facilities, and various forms of entertainment. Hotels can vary greatly in size, style, and price, catering to different types of guests and budgets, from budget motels to luxury resorts.

For example, we take Hyatt Centric Kota Kinabalu. Hyatt Centric is a brand of lifestyle hotels under the Hyatt umbrella that aims to cater to adventurous travelers seeking authentic experiences in the heart of the destination they're visiting. These hotels are often located in prime urban or resort locations, offering modern accommodations, vibrant social spaces, and local flavors.

2. RESORT

A resort is a commercial establishment that offers various amenities, facilities, and services primarily intended for leisure, relaxation, and recreation. Unlike traditional hotels, resorts typically focus on providing a wide range of recreational activities and on-site facilities to enhance the guest experience. Resorts can vary widely in size, location, and offerings, from scenic beaches to remote mountains or urban centers. Common features include swimming pools, spas, restaurants, bars, sports facilities, entertainment options, and organized activities like water sports, hiking, or guided tours. The concept of a resort often implies an all-encompassing experience where guests can stay on-site for an extended period and enjoy a variety of amenities without needing to venture far from the property. Resorts cater to different tastes and budgets, ranging from budget-friendly options to luxurious, high-end destinations.

For example, Kinabalu Pine Resort, nestled near Kundasang, Sabah, Malaysia, offers picturesque views of Mount Kinabalu. Surrounded by pine forests, it provides cozy chalets and rooms for a comfortable stay. Guests can enjoy hiking, birdwatching, and nearby attractions like Kinabalu Park. Amenities include a restaurant, souvenir shop, and meeting facilities, catering to both leisure and business travelers seeking a serene mountain retreat.

3. VILLA

A villa is a type of luxurious residence typically located in a scenic or affluent area. Villas are often standalone structures with spacious living areas, multiple bedrooms, and private amenities such as swimming pools, gardens, or outdoor entertaining spaces. They are designed to provide a high level of comfort, privacy, and exclusivity for residents or guests. Villas can be rented for short-term vacations or owned as private residences. In some cases, villas are part of a larger resort or residential community, offering additional services and facilities for residents or guests to enjoy.

For example, Overlooking the iconic Mount Kinabalu and just adjacent to the Mount Kinabalu Golf Course, Ausvilla is one of the best stay strategically located in the heart of Mesilou, Kundasang. Nestled in a peaceful hidden alley, we offer you a variety of family and couple rooms, with affordable prices yet spacious and modern. A great place for you to spend unforgettable quality time with your loved ones and families.
